One of the most frequent questions I get asked is what prompted me to learn about acupuncture. So here’s the scoop. Once my kids were a bit older, I enrolled myself in martial arts. After two years I learned about the innate energy that maintains our body when given the proper environment. I started reading about energy, Qi, hence, my four years of study in acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I call it “years of tears” as I worked to complete my thesis resulting in my Masters Degree.
NCCAOM Board Certified and licensed acupuncturist for 20 plus years, I am happy to say that I have had an amazing journey which has led me to introduce several holistic services into my practice. This includes Facial Rejuvenation, which is a very sought after service. It is a joy to help individuals who seek to live a quality and healthy lifestyle emotionally and physically.
Having that part of my education behind me, I began my personal studies in meditation and vibrational sound. I became fascinated with the power of vibrational sound after experiencing just one session! My first mentor was Laraaji Nambrananda. I studied with Laraaji in the city and within a couple of years, I began offering Sound and Guided Imagery Workshops at different venues locally. I pursued my education in sound and Tuning Fork Therapy. My studies have been strongly influenced by Dr. John Beaulieu, whom I continue to study with. Acutonics® Planetary Tuning Forks was my next endeavor in which I became a certified practitioner and instructor, offering certifications in Level l and Level ll.
Drum circles also captured my attention. I participated in several workshops and later became a Certified Drum Circle facilitator. Drum circles are very meditative and can also be lots of fun.
As a Life and Mindset Coach, EFT, Hypnosis and Mindfulness have been added to my practice which are very beneficial modalities in helping people to empower themselves and live a happier and healthier lifestyle!
How convenient is that! All you need is a quiet spot! No getting stuck in traffic! That’s the icing on the cake! I am available to offer On Site or Virtual presentations for any of the above topics.
Drum circles are on site only.
Spending time with my family and game night with friends. You may catch me amongst the vineyards on the east end of Long Island, or in the city attending a wine tasting. Wine tasting has been an interest and passion of mine for many years. A good restaurant, a glass of wine, and great company is hard to top in my book. I enjoy vegetable gardening or walking the beach hunting for sea glass. I also love to sit in the sun by the ocean and listen to the sounds of nature.
